I was thinking about a flyout to Bembridge on Sunday if anyone else is going flying? The landing fee at Sandown has now increased to £9 and Bembridge has been reduced to £8 for microlights!! First time for a long time Bembridge is cheaper! The "Wonky Cafe" is open for the BIG breakfast on Sunday so that would be a good place to go in the sunshine? Wind looks to be northerly so good the 30R runway.

There is a proposal to show the above documentary at Chilbolton Village hall on the 3rd may 2019. Its about how spitfires were made during the war at Southampton and Salisbury. I might well go as I know of one lady based in Southampton was involved in this work. Its part of the normal film night at Chilbolton hall. There are wondering about numbers and would like to know if any CFC members would like to attend. The cost is £5. Contact dlaw@davidlawrenceassociates.co.uk

Hi All I had the following mail yesterday. As you can read the dates for this are not yet been decided. Once I know the dates I will put them on the forum. Good evening,   My name is Dave Cooke. I am working on behalf of AQT Global and Southern Water to undergo a project inspecting Water Towers throughout Hampshire, Sussex and Kent.   We have plans to inspect a Water Tower in the South Wonston area and by doing this we plan to operate an unmanned aircraft for aerial inspections. The distance between us the centre point of your runway is approximately 5.51KM (3.42NM) East.   Even though we shall not be encroaching in any of your flying traffic, we are letting you know of our activities. I would need to inform you the dates once we have confirmed with our client.   The Remote Pilot is Daniel Lawrence or Aerial Media Imaging, Brighton East Sussex. He holds a CAA Permission for Commercial Operations certificate with a Public Liability Insurance of £1M. The company adheres and follows the current Air Navigation Order Articles:  1) 94 A-G  2) 95  3) 241  In order to operate the unmanned aircraft, all flying shall be adhered to current CAA regulations with manned traffic has a priority.  If you would like more information, or you have questions or concerns about the above flight. Please contact me with via e-mail or phone, more than happy to assist in anyway I can.  I would appreciate if you could reply to this e-mail as a receipt you have received successfully. This is for our operational standards and safety.   Thank you for your co-operation.  Kind regards,   Dave Cooke

On page 10 of the December BMAA mag it reports that safetyCom will change to 135.480 from the 3rd of January 2019. I will update the website PPR briefing to reflect this change. Apparently its still actually 135.475 but shows differently on the 8.33 radio.
